I recently saw the news about British channel ITV1 releasing a re brand on January next year.
The new identity will stretch across all channels – including ITV2, ITV3, ITV4 and CITV – and online, as well as ITV Studios content and distribution business.
The new logo is curvy and designed to mimic handwriting. In my opinion, it has a modern feel and it is dynamic, which shows the channel’s intentions to transform. It is important to mention that it was designed by the channel’s own team.
Rufus Radcliffe, director of marketing and research at ITV, said: “In an ever more crowed market place, both domestically and internationally, the need for a modern, flexible brand identity that connects with our viewers and customers has never been more important.”
“We are really excited to soon be unveiling a new identity that is as up-to-date, and relevant as our content,” he added.
And they couldn’t just release a new identity without releasing new idents! I cant wait to see them.
